Beginning Friday, March 16th we will have a volunteer at the Cleveland Library assisting patrons with genealogy! If you’re interested in learning about your family’s history, our volunteer will be able to help you get started. He will be assisting patrons using FamilySearch, which is a free website that has access to millions of historical records.
We ask that patrons call the library at 706-865-5572 or visit the front desk to register so that we can reserve computers for them as we’ll have limited availability. Our volunteer plans to be here at 10AM and will be here every Friday following March 16th for the foreseeable future. The day will begin in the community room with a presentation and continue on our public computers. Basic computer skills will be necessary.
If you’re curious about your family’s history, give us a call to register!
You can find FamilySearch here if you’d like to check out the site before your visit.
